Troubleshooting

Common errors and frequently asked questions

Quick fixes

Most issues are solved by one of these:

  • Reconnect — remove and re-add the connector in Claude.ai → Settings → Connectors. This refreshes your token and re-reads your subscription.
  • Check Billing — confirm your subscription is active at Dashboard → Billing.
  • Check the fields — Server URL https://torly.ai/mcp. You can leave Advanced settings empty; Claude.ai registers itself automatically.

FAQ

“Your Air subscription isn’t active”

Claude shows this when your entitlement isn't live. Subscribe (£24/month) at torly.ai/install, then reconnect the connector in Claude.ai → Settings → Connectors. If you've just subscribed, give it a moment and reconnect so Claude fetches a fresh token.

The tools don’t appear after adding the connector

Remove and re-add the connector. Claude.ai should register itself with TorlyAI automatically (no Client ID needed) — just confirm the Server URL is exactly https://torly.ai/mcp. If a client insists on a manual Client ID, paste yours under Advanced settings (not the Name or Server URL field).

Authentication / sign-in errors

When you click Add, Claude opens a sign-in window — log in with your TorlyAI account and approve access. If the window fails or you dismiss it, remove the connector and add it again to retrigger sign-in. Make sure pop-ups aren't blocked for claude.ai.

My session expired — how do I reconnect?

Sessions can expire for security. Open Claude.ai → Settings → Connectors, select the TorlyAI connector, and re-authenticate. You won't lose any stored project state (if you have cloud sync on) — reconnecting just refreshes your access token.

How do I reset my Client ID?

Claude.ai self-registers automatically, so most users never need a Client ID. It only matters if you set up the connector manually via Advanced settings, or you're using a client that doesn't support automatic registration. In that case, reset your Client ID from torly.ai/install or Dashboard → Connectors. Resetting invalidates the old ID, so you'll need to remove the connector in Claude.ai and re-add it with the new Client ID under Advanced settings. Treat the Client ID like a username — it's stable and non-secret, but resetting it disconnects existing setups.

It works in Claude.ai web but not in Claude Desktop (or vice versa)

The connector works in both Claude.ai web and Claude Desktop, but each has its own connector list — adding it in one doesn't add it in the other. Add the connector in whichever you're using, with the same Name, Server URL, and Client ID. Your subscription and account are shared across both.

Does it work in Codex / other tools?

Not yet. The connector currently targets Claude.ai (web) and Claude Desktop. Support for additional hosts such as Codex is planned for a later release.

Still stuck?

Re-read the Setup guide step by step, or check the Billing page if it's a subscription issue. If your project state seems wrong, the Cloud sync & privacy page explains what is and isn't remembered between sessions.
